CD Projekt Will Not Give Up on Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 was promised to be, by its developer CD Projekt Red, a revolutionary game that would forever change RPG and open world video games. However, four months after its release, that hasn’t happened yet.

For over a year, Cyberpunk 2077 was shown as a technically and visually impressive video game in many of its trailers and teasers; but when the release date came, back in December 10, most gamers were very disappointed with the final product.

Constant game crashes, bugs, glitches, bad AI and seemingly incomplete content, made Cyberpunk 2077 almost unplayable for some players, especially those on past gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One). The game had so many issues, that Sony decided to remove it from the PlayStation Store, just to stop receiving refund requests from people who had bought the game online.

Fortunately, over the months, CD Projekt Red has released a number of patches and hot fixes that have made the game a bit more playable and help it look like an almost finished product. But that´s not all, because according to the company’s joint CEO Adam Kicinski, we can expect for Cyberpunk 2077 to get even better, as they won’t abandon the game anytime soon.

In his words: “I don’t see an option to shelve Cyberpunk 2077. We are convinced that we can bring the game to such a state that we can be proud of it and therefore successfully sell it for years to come.”
